Give tomorrow a miss, should get pretty blowy tonight and most of tomorrow, although might glass off in the arvo, maybe. Banks are sweet so get into it Sunday & Monday!!!
Sunday will be glassy early and there should be light winds most of the day. Swell will be around the 2m mark, so expect to find waves around the waist/chest region, maybe a few bigger sets. Tide will be on the way out from 7am, so waves should start to feel the bottom a bit better after 7.
Monday looks sweet, fresh offshores for a majority of the day, swell will be around the 2m mark again, so look forward to waist/chest high waves with maybe a few nudging the head region. Tide will be running out from 7:30am so watch for the waves to start feeling those banks a bit better, hit up those rip banks.

Bored??? Like Cheese???
The annual Gloucester Cheese Roll took place last Monday at Coopers Hill in Gloucester, England. This crazy-ness holds a dear place in my heart as i was there last year to watch the carnage unfold. Unfortunatly i did not get to "run" as i did not get their early enough to beat the other crazies to the start line. If you ever get the chance, get over to the UK for the last weekend in May, head down to cider country and chase that cheese. Check out the official website here and check out the footage from the one just gone below.
Calvin
Calvin is one of our members and as you can see, he rips. He will be pushing up into A grade sometime this year and may compete against guys who have been surfing for as long as he has been alive. Not bad for a 12 year old.

Pro Tour News
Well Rawlins is killing it, must be due to the amount of quality waves hes been surfing over here of late.
He placed 1st in the Rheo QLD Pro at DBah back in early April, came in 3rd place behind Dave Winchester at the Rheo Newcastle Pro at Nobbies in late April and recently took home 1st place again at the Coastal Real Estate Pro in Warnambool, Vic.
Pretty safe to say he is chopping it up. Check here for full comp writeups
On another note the Shark Island Challenge has had its waiting period pretty much chopped in half, so instead of the 40 day comp period its now down to 20 days. Will be interesting to see how this one turns out as the Island is notoriously fickle. Supposedly all of the top 16 will be there, which contains all of 2 Aussies. However there are bulk Brazilians in the top 16, so fingers crossed they bring along some of their lady friends. Hopefully some Aussies (such as Rawlins, Winny, Kingy) get a few comp spots. My money is on Uri Valadao to take it out (& the world title), he is mental and has previously launched a backflip onto the dry reef. There will be a live web feed so keep your eyes on it from the 1st of July.
Good to see the No6 company jumping aboard as the Island Trial sponsors. Always good to see some new(er) guys supporting bodyboarding.

MBC Round 1 Results
Round 1 was held back in April, in pretty average conditions at South Singoes. The swell had died and the banks were pretty straight but the guys all pushed really hard and some pretty sick surfing went down.
